Crown Service Suites to Serve Growing Influx of Tourists to Sabah
In the City Centre yet with magnificent views of nature

The RM900 million Crown service suites and 5-star hotel development by the Ho Hup Group, is set to serve the growing influx of tourists to Sabah who are seeking a great location and quality accommodation in Kota Kinabalu.
According to Ho Hup Group CEO Datuk Derek Wong Kit-Leong, “The Crown is sitting on one of the most prime site in Kota Kinabalu. It is right in the city centre and yet has one of the most magnificent views of nature. Facing the Sembulan River, the suites also offer unhindered views of the South China Sea, the Sutera Harbour and the green vistas beyond. Dwellers will get to enjoy the ocean, the harbor and mountains without sacrificing the convenience of modern amenities.”
He was speaking during the official launch of the Crown Service Suites sales gallery and show unit, on the Rooftop of KK Sentral by the Chief Minister of Sabah Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd. Shafie Haji Bin Apdal today.

Datuk Wong said, “In recent years, we witnessed for ourselves, the tremendous growth of this beautiful state. In particular, we have seen how the development of infrastructure and the rapid increase in tourist arrivals from all over the world, especially China, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong, have fueled the growth of the hospitality and property sector, especially the tourism real estate sector.”
“As a Group, Ho Hup has built a track record as one of the pioneers in infrastructure, construction and property development. Our projects and our participation in the growth of Malaysia’s economy over the last 50 years, are well documented and we were largely involved in the development of Semenanjung, Malaysia.”
“In looking for avenues to expand and grow, it was logical that we also looked towards Sabah. We are truly delighted to have found our opportunity right here, next to the waterfront,” he added.

The project, located next to KK Sentral and facing the waterfront is a mixed development, comprising of 323 high-end service suites, a 376-room international five star hotel and 50,000 sq ft of niche retail space. It has a combined Gross Development Value of close to RM900 million.
Apart from superb location, the Crown Service Suites are exquisitely designed and will be luxuriously furnished. For example, most units are equipped with a dual-key feature, which makes it suitable for short-lets and therefore great for investment. A 3-tier security and digital lockset system allows only card access to the car park, lift lobby and designated floor.

He said, “We believe that everyone, from tourists, yuppies, retirees or pure investors, would really appreciate what The Crown Service Suites have to offer.”
“To top it off, we are very fortunate to have a Government that is very committed and supportive of the tourism industry. Having identified the tourism sector as one of the priorities, the Government has been rolling out numerous initiatives to ensure there is sufficient infrastructure such as accommodation, retail and recreation facilities to support and sustain the growth of the sector.”
“In this regard, Ho Hup is pleased to be able to play a small part through our project, offering quality accommodation, niche retail and recreation facilities to meet the increasing demand from holiday makers and tourists,” he added.
Sales of the Crown Service Suites have been well-received, with nearly 60% take-up rate. The typical units are available in sizes ranging from 1,360 to 1,986 square feet. They are priced from RM1.26 million to RM2.43 million. The duplex units and penthouses are priced from RM3.07 million to RM4.61 million.
