Education in Tuaran

Tuaran is not short of educational institutions with a conducive learning environment for the students. Some other schools and in the area are SK. St. John, SK. Pekan Tuaran, SJK C Chen Sin and SMK Badin. Teachers Training Institute Kent Campus is also based in Tuaran.

Sekolah Menengah Sains Sabah is a leading cluster boarding school in East Malaysia and ranked as number 1 School in Sabah by the Ministry of Education.

St. John's School began as a Catholic Mission School and the building was destroyed during World War II. St. John Tuaran Secondary School was re-built in 1958.

Institut Sinaran is a tertiary education centre located at KM 10 between Tuaran Bypass and Jalan Sulaman. The campus is the biggest Cambridge GCE A-Level Centre in East Malaysia well-equipped with learning facilities and dedicated teaching staff.
