Tuaran is a town in Sabah, located on the west coast of Sabah, about 32km from Kota Kinabalu City Center.

It is primarily known for being a gateway to Sabah's three tourism hotspots, Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai, and Borneo Beach Villas.

The main industries in Tuaran are fishing and tourism. The town is known for its beaches and has many resorts and hotels.

Sabahan locals are known to frequently visit Tamu Tuaran because of the fresh local produce they have to offer. You can even get some homemade Bahar wine made by the Tuaran locals(if you're feeling thirsty).
